throwback to the old “two chord ride,” dogg. but you gotta go where the patch takes you. There’s some feedback, so careful with those 🎧🎧, eugene.
🎧Some More Hale VC Slew as VCOs

🎧🎧 Just building on the previous video’s patch, dogg. Kinda let it run away with me: had no clue how to fix the panning, or anything, really. Beauty of modular, innit?
Hale VC Slew as VCOs
Переглядів 97День тому
Hale Modular’s VC Slew (now called VC Slew Limit/Lock, I think?) is a fresh and carefully-considered design that is functionally similar to the famous Serge Smooth-Stepped Generator module that exceeds its predecessor in almost every way. Not least, when “patch-programmed,” it operates as a temperature-compensated VCO suitable for audio tasks (-2.5 to 2.5v swing) that tracks over several octave...

Serge Audio Feedback as Control Signals
Переглядів 115Місяць тому
Two filters at work, here: The variable Q with its notch output fed back into vc-frequency, there is a VCA with an offset in the feedback path, and as you crank the feedback from audio into control voltage inputs, the sound takes on the familiar sharp edges, as well as over- and undertones. Where you hear what sounds like a I-IV progression, that’s the variable Q. And you’ll definitely get diff...

This is awesome🐸💚

lovely sounds!
Thanks!
Sigrid Sarda
very cool!
Thanks very much!
This is great!
Thanks very much!
Great sounds! You don't happen to have some patchnote of this?
Sorry, this one’s pretty old! The triple waveshaper module has some reliable ticks when you patch it for feedback; that’s generating the syncopated burst of noise. The oscillations are largely from the CGS resonant bandpass filter array, patched for feedback.
great sounds & nice view
Please keep these up!
Thanks for the feedback!
Really awesome 👏👏👏
Think I cut too much low end, better luck next time.
can always add more low end by running the recording back in!
Love this!
The Great Steve Perry 👏👏👏
❤ Souds awesome ❤
❤These two are great together ❤
❤I love this ❤
🩵 Awesome. I love it 🩵
Higher frequencies sound a bit like a shimmer reverb :) Nice system / patch!
Hey, you. I've been trying to get hold of you, see how you're doing. I got a message from your old number, so I looked you up here. Been worried about ya! Drop me a line?
wonderful. would love to see & hear more
Tasty jam!
My right ear feels great now
Ha! Yeah, I had a spell where I wasn’t monitoring all that closely- just capturing the ideas and putting some visuals on them. I suppose I haven’t changed much, really.
What a cool device. Awesome patch!
Thanks a lot! I eventually sold mine, but sometimes I think about acquiring the v2.
Bloody marvelous! ;)
Thanks, bud =)
Great. Such a playable quantizer
Great videos! Man, those logic modules with the arcade buttons are such an incredible design. Not surprised to see that in addition to what’s in your Boolean Drive panel you also have a Pulse Logic module as well.
I don't know why those aren't everywhere, but sourcing and conditioning the buttons sounds kinda labor-intensive; at least, I think it might have been for Stroh!
@@churlishbeardo apparently he’s working on a new Pulse Logic PCB 😊
Really loving these annotations!
magic! what this little instrument can do in proper hands!
Thank you!
Ha! Used to love watching that crayon making bit. :)
sweet! been waiting for another of these. cant wait to put this knowledge to use with one of my new serge panels
Hey, thank you! That means a lot.
BOO(lean)-YEA!
Haha!
Foreboding analog music bed... tension mounting... but then a smoov voice calmly guides you through the disarm sequence... don't clip the red wire...
Nice vid! thanks for taking the time to put them up.
I do love the BugBrand PTDelay
Your video was a great nudge toward acquiring one!
Two, ultimately!
This is great!
Hey, thank you very much!
nice grooove!
Thanks! It was a fun one buzzing in the background that day.
This is really fantastic work! very compelling.
nice work! love the archival footage too btw....
I just bought my Schrittmacher and I can't figure out the Lines. I have 2-3 different lines per sequence, and I set them to velocity and gate. But it makes no difference in the sequence. I have read the manual and still can't figure it out. Is there some other setting that needs to be completed?
I don’t have my Schrittmacher handy, but there is a view to enable/disable lines (I think that view is in this video), and disabled lines will have darker labels). I don’t recall for sure if the sequencer enables these by default, but I think I you have to do so.
@@churlishbeardo Thanks for responding. The Global button shows the lines. But I am still doing something wrong because I hear no effect at all. I'll have to keep playing with it.
Nice especially at 1.10 ish.
Thanks! The BB stuff sounds pretty terrific.
the title makes it!
I like the backwards cymbal / breathing in sound!
These Double-Knot videos are great!!
Fantastic! I love it!
Really beautiful stuff, thanks for sharing!
Awesome patch!!!
"You are using an old version of the human mind"
